Regarding the whole Soi Fon / Soi Fong thing, The Japanese On’yomi character phonetics of her name (砕蜂) is “Kudaku” and “Hachi”, which in English translates as “To Crush” and “Bee”. The Japanese Kun’yomi transliteration of the characters is pronounced as “Soi Fon”.
English fan-translations incorrectly Romanized her name as “Soi Fong” early on in the Bleach series, which is why that name has become so commonly used. This was most likely due to the Chinese Pinyin Mandarin transliteration of her name – “Sui Feng”. However, the official Romanized versions of her name (such as in the Heat the Soul video game manuals or the SOULs official character book) has it listed as “Soifon”.
Even though I’m a die-hard Soifon fan, and I like Rob’s work, I’m just not feeling this pic as much as I could have. When you inflate her petite A/B-cup boobs to a DDD/EE and put her in extra-long braid-wraps without rings, I just can’t suspend disbelief and think that it’s really her.
